For auction is a 1953 Gubelin Ipsomatic Guilloche 18k yellow gold 36mm automatic bidynator rare piece with great engraving. The Good: 1. A wonderful piece with a special and rare guilloche dial. 2. Wonderful engraving on the caseback: Thank you for a lovely trip Elsie 9/9/53. 3. Totally modern feeling watch with a hefty and weighty case. 4. Working and functioning well, amplitude +303 and -2 seconds per day. The Bad: 1. It shows ordinary case wear but appears to be unpolished. 2. The crown appears to be a later replacement but is a great fit and doesn't diminish the look at all.
